About Alexa Lamont

Alexa Lamont is an employed barrister who specialises in defamation and privacy law. She studied Social and Political Sciences at Cambridge University where she was awarded the Ruth Cohen Memorial Prize for an outstanding first class dissertation. In 2007 she was awarded the Diplock Scholarship from Middle Temple to complete the Bar Vocational Course. She completed her pupillage in media law at One Brick Court where she spent time working in the legal departments of The Daily Express and The Times. Later in pupillage, she was asked by The Times to conduct research for the Early Resolution Procedures Group into the early resolution of meaning in libel. She joined Reynolds Porter Chamberlain in August 2010.
